Dear Carol & Lorie,
It was with great sadness today, July 10th, when I learned about Jake's passing by way of the Carnesale web site. It triggered many memories of when you lived on Passmore. I would see Jake from time to time shopping for groceries, and we would always chat about how things were going with both of you. My heart goes out to you, Carol, Lorie, and the rest of the family, to find lasting peace. Cherish those memories that make sorrow less difficult to bear. I will send a donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, PCF, in memory of Jake. As you know,
I am sure, their work on finding a cure has been concentrated on that for the past thirty years.
God bless all of you, and may Jake "rest in peace."
With my sincere condolences, Joanna Conn.

Thank you so much for your kind words Joanna. Both Mom & I are devastated as he was our rock. He would have been celebrating 82 years this week, so I am comforted only in knowing that he lived a long, wonderful life filled with love and knowing that he did not have to suffer. Appreciate you making a donation, God Bless... Lorie Albert

My deepest sympathies to my sister Carol and my niece Lori for their loss of a husband and father. Jake was one of a kind who loved life! I will never look at Kerber’s Dairy the same because every time Jake came to visit in Pittsburgh that’s the first place he headed for a big ice cream. Jake you will be greatly missed by all who knew you.

Jake surely did embody the best of life's characters. A laugh-loving explorer, with a splash of Einstein and a dash of Macgyver! He wielded wisdom like a sword and kindness as his shield. His selfless nature was his adoring cape. Possibly now pedaling across celestial blue skies or solving heavenly conundrums, he's dearly missed on our daily errands or appointments. As we remember him with fondness, my prayers join yours hoping he continues his adventure in heavenly realms!
