I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! Ed was a great guy and was wonderful to work for at the Acme! He was one of the nicest and hardest workers I've ever met! You have my deepest sympathies!

I am so very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I worked with Ed at the Berlin Acme Market. He was a real good guy. Always upbeat, always sincere, always had time time to make for you. I’m trying to remember when I saw him last, but I know it had been years since I saw him and when I did it was as if I had seen him the day before. He was just that kind of guy. He made you feel good. Please accept my sincere sympathy for the passing of a good guy, a friend. God Bless.

I worked with Ed at Upper Deerfield Shoprite. He was a very nice man and will truly be missed. I remember one time he had bought burgers and I said Ed they look good he said yeah I'm going to go home and put them on the grill. I said sounds good let me know how they are. Well I went and bought them and I tried them. The next time I saw him I said Ed I bought those burgers they tasted like pork he said um Billie they are pork. I felt stupid but we laughed. I had some good laughs with him great memories. R.I.P. ED! I'll never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Ed was a great classmate from 1970-74. When I went to Shawnee, I only knew a handful of people. Ed was very welcoming which was greatly appreciated. I wish he could have enjoyed life a little longer, but I hope he didn’t suffer much as life can be cruel. RIP.

Bo Ed ( as we called each other Bo.) Why, I don't know. Maybe it was a form of BRO, ?. Ed gave it all. When he was rotating Diapers on the Baby Aisle, we questioned him. Why ? They don't go bad and there is no out of date code on them. Ed said " If you were a Mother buying Diapers would you like the DUST on them if they were not rotated ? Ed and I enjoyed many Concerts together. One of my favorites with Ed was BLACK SABBATH where VAN HALEN on there1st tour opened up for SABBATH. David Lee Roth was not well excepted in his white spandex and all, until EDWARD VAN HALEN ripped into the Kinks song " You Really Got Me ". Ed and I looked at each other and said Wow dude this Band is going somewhere !

I just had the most fierce but very private crush on Ed. He had the sweetest smile and friendliest personality. He made me laugh and took my mind off a very sad time that I was unable to understand. We lost touch for so long & then 4 years ago we connected through FB. Again at a low time, I had just lost a good dear friend. We talked for a couple hours and just picked up where we left off. I see this as the Lords way of keeping a good friendship going and showing me EXACTLY why He puts special people our path. Ed will forever have a place in my heart. You will be dearly missed everyday. Till we meet again my friend...rest in endearing peace.

One of the bravest guys I ever knew. He taught me a lot and I'm surely going to miss him. My deepest sympathy to Ed's wonderful family ,his sister Doreen, his stepdaughter Liz his mom, siblings nieces and nephews. I'm sure they have kayaks and Swiftwater in heaven. Have a peaceful Journey sailor.
I thought we'd have a little bit more time.

I knew Ed through Shop Rite. I just found out, and was so sorry to hear this. I just went through the same thing with my brother last month. Ed was a really nice guy, one of the best guys to work with, and would do anything for anyone. I'm sorry he will not be able to experience retirement, which I'm sure he would have really enjoyed.
