Marjorie and I were childhood friends and I remember well the good times we had together. She never let her physical handicap stop her. It looks to me like she had a wonderful life full of accomplishments. I still think of her occasionally and cherish our friendship.

Marjorie was a fellow classmate of mine - Bridgeton High School 1958. We are celebrating our 60th reunion next month and will reflect with sadness on Marjorie's passing. Her fitting yearbook caption stated, "Marjorie strives for perfection. Nothing less will do. Hence, she is a prize winner in art and in poetry and a pianist delightful to hear. Her keen interest in all extracurricular activities is second only to her academic work." Sincere condolences to her family.

To our Parkhurst Families, it is with a heavy heart remembering my Aunt Marge.
She had the biggest heart, a beautiful smile that shinned everywhere, amazing Teacher, patient and positive, giving us so much laughter with our conversations.
I will keep her summer visits to our lake and the beach memories forever with me and remember how much Aunt Marge gave us so much LOVE!

Parkhurst family, we are sorry to have heard about your loss and wanted to wish you peace. Knowing that God cares for us at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 and gives a hope to see our loved ones again at Acts 24:15 can give you encouragement you need.

Mrs. Parkhurst was my daughter Lauren’s fourth grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary #3. She was a gentle and kind teacher who always gave 100% to all of her students! In addition, she was well respected by her students. I am very sorry for your loss. She was a great lady who really left her mark in this world. Cherish the memories!

As a new teacher in Middle Township in 1984, I needed helpful mentors who had experience with students and the school system. Marjorie was one of the kindest. She always had some answers or ideas for me. It was such a privilege to be one of her coworkers. She exemplified a person who wanted the best for and from her students.

Heaven just got a little sweeter and smarter.
She introduced so many of us (students) to our “Thinking Caps”. She lives on in our hearts and minds.

May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, provide you with comfort at this difficult time. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. As my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Parkhurst was always an inspiring and kind classroom presence. I so appreciate all she poured into my life and attribute much of what I have done later in life to her guidance and the guidance of other educators like her, who are few and far between.
Many blessings.

I wish I would have shared this with you when I last had the opportunity. Thank you for seeing in me what I couldn't see in myself. Thank you for instilling a sense of belief and excellence that something was greater ahead for me in my future when I couldn't see it in myself. Thank you for making a difference and for being a candle in the dark when I couldn't see it in myself. Thank you for being a beacon of light. It has been said that we sometimes forget what someone says but we never forget how they make us feel. With that said, I will never forget the positivity and hope that you injected in me in both words and actions. Thank you for making a difference and for adding so much to the lives of everyone who knew you. You were always more than a teacher to me. You were kindness in action. Hope in action. Care in action. Love in action! I am in great part who I am today because of you. You never gave up on me. You never stopped believing in me. You demanded more from me than I demanded from myself because you knew it was possible. I love you, honor you, and will never forget you because of that. Said with love, admiration and eternal gratitude. R.I.P.
