Obituary of John Mascio

John Mascio, Jr., 77, of Elm passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Mascio owned and operated Mascio and Sons Painting, he also worked as a bridge operator for Atlantic County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman that led to his building his cabin in Maine. Mr. Mascio enjoyed traveling and spending time in their New Port Richie, Florida home. Lately he discovered a new passion for wine making and sharing his efforts with others. He was predeceased by his son, Brian Mascio, his parents, John and Catherine Mascio; his mother and father in law, Mary and Rocco Tomasetti; his sisters, Marie Reckner; Vera Mascio and his brother Danny Mascio. Mr. Mascio is survived by his wife Eileen Mascio (nee Tomasetti); two daughters and their spouses, Donna and Jim Davis of Mullica, Roxanne and Ben Andronico of Hammonton; his son and his spouse, John and Theresa Mascio of Folsom; his daughter in law Kelly Mascio of Mullica; two sisters, Shirley Shina of Hammonton and Rita Warren of Blackwood; his brother in law Richard Tomasetti and his wife Dolores of Elm; 10 grandchildren, Tanya Fowler, Melissa Bartolone, Kelly Volpe, Ren Andronico, Justin Andronico, John Mascio, IV, Alexandria Baginski, Brian Mascio, Jr., Joseph Mascio and Kayla Samuelson; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 25, 2018 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's RC Church, 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Viewings will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 7:00pm-9:00pm and again on Wednesday 8:30am - 9:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
