Hello, I am Shirley's cousin from the Vlasak family. I am sorry to hear that she passed away last year. She called me each year near Christmas time. I was thrilled when she made the family tree. Wish you well.

Melanie and Dan please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. Shirley was a wonderful person and we enjoyed the times we spent with her she was very intelligent woman. She told us a lot about old times in Bowie. We are very sorry we missed her services as we just returned from a trip out of the country and saw her obiuary in the Capital.

To all the family please know that our hearts are broken too in hearing this news. I always told her she was going to make it to 120 yrs +. She would laugh and say well we will see Georgie.
Shirley was a great woman and she was so loved by all who knew her. I learned so much from her about my family of Belair and the Ogles with all the research she did. She was a legend and will not be forgotten. I loved her wit, her charm, her love of family but most of all I loved her. We had so much fun when we would have our long conversations on the phone about history, family and lives. She had a memory that only one could wish for. Her plethora of information was endless. Tony and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to her family at this sad time. She will be sorely missed.

I was one of the lucky ones, I meant Shirley about five years ago, and I helped in taking care of her, and through the years she became my friend, who I grew to love and have much respect for. She is one of the kindest sweetest ladies I have ever Meet, never complained always with a thank you, and always with a smile. I am truly truly going to miss her every day. But I know she's in peace I know she is resting miss Shirley I love you and I'm so honoured to know you. Condolence goes out to her family, who are absolutely wonderful people. Knowing Shirley made me a better person, and made me appreciate so much more you rest now, I love you and miss you already. Love sherry

Les, Cheryl, Mel and George--
How fortunate was I that Mrs. Baltz took me in, the little girl wondering the neighborhood, 10 blocks from her home. Seriously, she really did take me in, as I was invited to every concert, fireworks, library, community event that she dragged Les to. Not to mention summer weeks in Stone Harbor, first introducing me to the Jersey shore. Even as I became an adult, she was always interested in what I was doing, and always asking about my family. So smart, kind, and considerate, your Mom was a special woman, and she will be missed.
Thinking of all of you,
Cindy

My condolences to Shirley's family. She was a very special Lady; when I would telephone her periodically she was always excited to hear from me. I was excited to hear her memories.
You were all so devoted to her. My sister, Charlene loved Shirley as if she was her Mother too.
Shirley can rest in peace.
