Sweet Swinging John D. We certainly had some stories to tell and many lies to spread. We were good friends and shared a lot of experiences. John used to come to my house on a Sunday and take my Harley for a spin for example. We went out together, partied together and mostly laughed together. Lost track as we often do with marriage, kids and jobs but he was a friend to me for a long time.

As I looked at your picture, it hurt me to know that you are no longer here on earth. We were so close in the 60's & had so,so many laughs together. Hilarious times behind the farm, trip to Florida, chasing basketball players with the oldsmobile on the carnival grounds, facial stitches from a softball game, & parties where we ended up in the dark.
We never had the chance to say goodbye, & I am so sorry for that, & I truly regret that we moved apart as our lives took different geographical paths.
Lesson learned here is that a good friend should never be allowed to drift away for whatever reasons, as our many moments together were comical & priceless.
I am so sad that you had to leave early, John, & I pray that you can hear me as I call out to you & say that I will miss you dearly.

Coping with the death of a loved one is never easy. When Lazarus died, Jesus “groaned in the spirit and became troubled,” and shortly afterward he “gave way to tears.” (John 11:33, 35) So, when someone we love dies, it does not show weakness to cry. God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. (Revelation 21:4).May the God of love comfort the DiMeglio family and friends.
