Marcelino Piñeiro (Marc, Tato), 60, of Mullica Township passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico he was a resident of the Hammonton and Mullica Township area for fifty seven years. Mr. Piñeiro attended Hammonton High School. He worked for many years as a dealer for Trump Castle Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. He had also worked at Resorts International and Kline Construction. Marcelino organized block parties in Wharton Park where he lived with his family. He was instrumental in helping get bus transportation for all the front and back walker students in the Mullica Township School District. He enjoyed playing and coaching softball, camping, cooking and he was an avid New York Mets and Jets fan. What he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Carmen M. Piñeiro (nee Vazquez), his three daughters, Karen Piñeiro- Martin (Rashod), Crystal Piñeiro- Schoenstein (Todd), and Cynthia Piñeiro (John Festino) all of Mullica Township; seven grandchildren, Troy and LoriAnn Chambliss, Kaylah, Emily, Molly, Matthew "Poncho" and Samantha Schoenstein; four brothers, Tino, Virgilio, Angel L. and Hector Piñeiro; two sisters, Alicia Piñeiro and Ramira Melendez; and two granddoggies, Chico and Roxy. He was predeceased by his parents, Tomas Piñeiro and Leonor Rivera Piñeiro and his brother, Cipriano Cordero. A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. Arrangements by the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
