Obituary of Marion Salvatore

Marion Salvatore (nee Lisi), 91, of Hammonton passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there. Before retiring Marion worked at Crown Pants Company and Romolo's Pants Company both in Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker's Union, the Hammonton Senior Citizens, and previously was a longtime member of St. Martin DePorres R.C. Church. She enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City, cooking, sewing, traveling with her husband, and the wonderful holidays spent with her loving family. Marion enjoyed playing cards with her friends and neighbors whom she loved dearly and that helped care for her for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas P. Salvatore; her infant son, Nicholas; her brother, Girard Lisi; and her sister, Theresa Perone. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Boyer (Mike), one son, Nick Salvatore (Karen) all of Hammonton; five grandchildren, Colleen DeSilvio (Alex II), Christina Olivo (Frank), Cindy Boyer (Anthony Bracarello), Nicholas Salvatore Jr., and Steven Salvatore; seven great grandchildren, Hailey, Alex III, Daniel, Luke, Michael, Kayla and Jaylynn, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037, or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
