Carmen S. Piason, 88 of Winslow died Friday at Virtua Health Systems in Berlin. Born in Winslow he was a lifelong resident there. Mr. Piason was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Before retiring he worked as plant foreman at Barrett Paving in Hammonton. He was a lifetime member and formerly served as Vice - president of the Winslow Fire Company, he was a member of the Winslow Township Senior Citizens, Rosedale Deer Club and Laborers Local No. 172. He was predeceased by his first wife, Thelma Piason and his second wife Annie Piason. He is survived by two sons, James Piason (Patty) of Little Egg Harbor , Jerry Piason of Vineland and Sandra Smith (Arthur) of Winslow, six sisters, Clara Maffei, Dessie DeFeo, Delores Munson, Antoinette Christopher, and Sylvia Olivo, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Wednesday 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
