Obituary of Joseph J. Bailey

Joseph J. Bailey, 84, of Elm, passed away on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at Virtua Health Systems in Voorhees. Born in Cedar Brook he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Bailey worked as a carpenter for Pacemaker Boat Co. of Greenbank. He also worked as a truck driver, worked at Zinno Farms and was a security guard at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. His second vocation was helping others. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Bailey was a member of the Elm Vol. Fire Company, where he once served as treasurer; the Elm American Legion and the Hammonton Moose Lodge. He was predeceased by his parents, John T. Bailey and Elizabeth Bailey Dobler; his brother, Benjamin Bailey and grandson, David Bailey. Mr. Bailey is survived by his loving wife, Pearlie Bailey (nee Wooton) of Elm; his three sons and their wives, Wick and Janice Nease of McKinney, TX; Joseph C. and Kathleen Bailey of Cedar Brook; David W. and Deborah Bailey of Hammonton; one brother, John T. Bailey, Jr of N. Fort Myers, FL; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 27, 2016 11:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Friday morning 9:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home.
