Obituary of Anna M. Capelli

Anna M. Capelli (nee Tanzola), 89, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA she lived in Hammonton for seventy one years. Anna was a longtime member of St. Martin DePorres R.C. Church in Hammonton, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister. She was predeceased by her devoted and beloved husband of sixty eight years, Joseph J. Capelli Sr., her daughter, Elizabeth Jane Hoopes, her brothers, Robert and Anthony Tanzola, her sister, Mildred Calise and her great grandson, Troy Michael Clark She is survived by six children, Joseph Capelli Jr. (Geneva), Robert Capelli (Linda) all of Orlando, FL, Maria Clark (George) of Evergreen, CO, Joanna Capelli, Catherine Capelli Viers, (Jeffrey) and Patricia Capelli all of Murfreesboro, TN; her son in law, Gene Hoopes of Hammonton, her brother, Charles Tanzola of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, Ann Byers, Christopher Clark, Michael Capelli, Michelle Baros, Joseph S. Capelli, Jennifer Piacenti, Grace Viers, and Faith Viers, great grandchildren, Frank and Gianna Byers, Michael A. and Nicholas Capelli, Palo Baros, Gianna, Mia and Siena Piacenti, Christina Capelli and Emma and Rilie Cortez. Anna was devoted to her family and community. She was an amazing woman of faith, love, strength, fortitude, kindness and generosity. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 3265, Margate, NJ 08402.
