Obituary of Bettie A. LaSasso

Bettie A. LaSasso, (nee Celona) 80, of Hammonton passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 1, 2016 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there. Bettie was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1953, where she was a Head Majorette in the High School Band. She had worked for Kessler Memorial Hospital and Rail Repairs, and she was a saleswoman for Avon and Tupperware. Bettie enjoyed watching sports with her loving husband of over sixty years. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, the beach, laying by her pool sunbathing, shopping everyday at Bagliani's, cooking for her family on Sundays, solving people's problems and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she was the Matriarch of her family. She was predeceased by her son, Richard R. LaSasso, and her parents, Frank and Geneva Celona. She is survived by her husband, Frank J. LaSasso Jr., three sons and their wives, Frank J. LaSasso III and Marcia, James Jay LaSasso and Lori all of Hammonton, and Dante P. LaSasso and Karen of Collings Lakes; one sister, Gerrie King of Hammonton; her seven grandchildren, Nicole Scirrotto (Frank), Frank J. LaSasso IV (Tiffany), Danielle LaSasso, Michael LaSasso, Laila LaSasso, Hannah LaSasso, Aaron LaSasso; six great grandchildren, Aubrey, Richard, Emma, and Rileigh Scirrotto, Frank J. LaSasso V and Gino LaSasso, her loving dogs, Paco and Coco. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home. 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11:30 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hammonton Little League, PO Box 1025, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to the Hammonton Hawks, PO Box 782, Hammonton, NJ 08037 would be greatly appreciated. www.carnesalefuneralhome.com.
