Obituary of John Grebowich

John Grebowich, 89, of Winslow passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Kennedy Health Systems in Washington Township. Mr. Grebowich was born and raised in Winslow. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post 186, the VFW and DAV all in Hammonton. He was a retired carpenter for Atlantic City Carpenters Union Local 623 for over 35 years. Mr. Grebowich was predeceased by his parents, Fannie (Nee Smolok) and Paul Grebowich, his sister, Sophie Kayati, his brothers, Joseph, Harry, Alex and William Grebowich. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mamie Grebowich (nee Melora), his daughter Julie Bedard of Winslow; his sisters, Anna Dahm of Roxborough, PA; Mary Schnargl and his brother Mike Grebowich both of Winslow; his two grandsons, John and Ken Bedard and 2 great grand-daughters and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Monday December 14, 2015 in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Sunday Dec. 13, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and again on Monday 8:30am - 9:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
