Obituary of Richard E. Friedley

Richard E. Friedley, Sr., 72, of Hammonton passed away on Saturday Nov. 7, 2015 at his residence. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He was a former member of the Army National Guard, the Hammonton Lions Club and cub master for the Boy Scouts of America Cub Pack 68. Mr. Friedley was a former coach for the Hammonton Little League and the Hammonton Hawks Association. He was a retired troubleman with Atlantic City Electric Co. for 37 years and currently was a driver for Our Expressions Florist in Hammonton. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and a true Hammonton sports fan. He could often be found at sporting events in Hammonton and his conversations with family and friends were often sports related. Mr. Friedley is survived by the love of his life, Joanne A. Friedley (nee Thibault) his wife of 51 years, his sons, Richard E. Friedley, Jr. of Hammonton; Brian T. Friedley of Mays Landing; his sister, Joyce Macrie of Sweetwater and his two brothers, William C. Friedley, III of Mays Landing and Scott Friedley of Hammonton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Nov. 10, 2015, 8:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
