Obituary of Leon Abbott Brown

Leon Abbott Brown Jr., 90, died peacefully in his sleep Thursday evening August 13, 2015. Mr. Brown, native of New Jersey, died at home in New Bern, NC. He is survived by his children, Peggy & John Hodges, Lee & Josie Brown and Beth Brown, one grandson Joe Zuber and his wife Christine and four great grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Emma Grasso and George Brown, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He is a retired civilian employee of the naval air technical services facility where he was a Technical Writer. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree Knight. A memorial service will be held 10:30am, Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be held from 10:00am until 10:30am. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton.
