Obituary of Herenia Acevedo Santiago

Herenia Acevedo Santiago, "Iris" , 74, formerly of Hammonton died October 1, 2010 in Florida. She was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Iris worked for a several different factories in Hammonton, before opening a restaurant with her beloved husband, Tomas, in Isabela Puerto Rico. She enjoyed singing, walking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Iris was very loved by all. She always had something nice to say about anyone and loved "God". She was predeceased by her husband, Tomas Perez Santiago; her step son William Roman Santiago; her siblings: Carmelo Acevedo, Nicholas Acevedo, Epigmenia "Mina" Acevedo, Tomas "Tomasito" Acevedo; Josefa "Josie" Acevedo; Jamie Acevedo; Andres Acevedo, Erasmo Acevedo and Celestina "Celia" Acevedo. She is survived by her daughter , Myrna Santiago and her husband Paul Ciarlante of Hammonton, Gladys Medina of Tampa Florida , Nancy and Paul Gautier of Florida , daughter in law Juana "Cuca" Santiago of Puerto Rico and son in law Juan Moreno Sr. of Hammonton. Her siblings, Benigno Acevedo, Juan A. "Guango" Acevedo, Saturnina "Lucy" Perez, Juanita Romero and Carmelo "Carlo" Acevedo; and her grandchildren: Giovani, Alaniz, Saschyln Medina, Juan Moreno Jr, Joanna and Joel Gautier, Thomas and Jamie Santiago, Ernesto Morales. Eleven great grandchildren and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation Saturday November 13, 2010 from 9:30am - 10:30am, at St. Mary of Mt Carmel Parish at St. Joseph Church on 3rd & French, Hammonton, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.
