Obituary of Joell M. Roberts

Joell Marie Roberts, 95, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday June 10, 2015. Born in Shenandoah, PA she lived in Hammonton for 43 years. Mrs. Roberts was a crossing guard for the Town of Hammonton and was assigned to the Hammonton Middle School for 25 years. She also formerly worked as a hostess in the Bird Cage Restaurant inside Lord & Taylors in Jenkintown, PA. She was a former member and supporter of the Hammonton Sunshine Foundation. Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Katherine Rovinsky, her husband, Casper A. Roberts and her son, David A. Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Joelle Kay Roberts, her grandson Charles A. Roberts, her granddaughter Aimee J. DeCory, her great granddaughter, Victoria J. Swift, her daughter in law, Lynne Roberts and her daughter, Bryn Roberts. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by her daughter, Janet Bowden, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and her sister, Sally Shallow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday June 18, 2015, 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's 226 French Street, Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
