Anthony J. Bertino Jr. "Tater" 65 of Hammonton died suddenly on Monday. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School Class of 1963, attended Delaware Valley College and was honorably discharged from the National Guard. He was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local No. 172 in Folsom, he worked for the Hammonton Public Schools for twenty years. He was co-owner along with Eddie Johnson of J & B Painters for many years. He is survived by four children, Anthony Bertino III and his wife, Patti of Egg Harbor Township, Jessica Bertino and Erich Grace both of Hammonton, and Christine Thompson of Tennessee, his mother, Margaret Bertino, his companion Kathleen Bertino, three brothers, David Bertino (Sharon), James Bertino (Hope), John Bertino (Fran) all of Hammonton, and his grandchidren, Nick, Matt, Samantha, Billy, and Anthony IV. A viewing will be held Friday 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Martin DePorres, 129 Park Avenue in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton. ( www.carnesalefuneralhome.com)
