Obituary of Ellen J. Berenato

Ellen J. Berenato (nee Perna), 82, of Hammonton passed away at home on Monday, March 9, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Mary Perna (nee Donio) , brother, Robert Perna and his wife Rose; sister in law, Barbara Perna , and beloved infant grandson, Joseph Mauriello. Ellen loved being a part of a very large family thirty one first cousins and sixty seven second cousins. She enjoyed crafting and painting. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of sixty three years, Anthony B. Berenato; son, Jerry Berenato; daughter, Donna Mauriello (Robert), son, Michael Berenato (Debbie); brother, Jerry Perna; seven grandchildren, Ellen Shendock, Steven Berenato, Robert Mauriello (Alexandra), Jenn Stepenoski (Nick), Anthony Berenato (Brittany), Brittany Smythe (Chris)and Maureen Berenato, nine great grandchildren, Karalyne Shendock, Nick Berenato, Victoria Shendock, Cole Mauriello, Anthony J. Berenato, Eden Mauriello, Angelina Berenato, Anthony E. Berenato, Armani Berenato, and two special buds, Rich Henry and Paul Wilson. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Regional Elementary, 133 N. Third Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
