Obituary of Melvin F. Mobley

Melvin F. Mobley, Sr., 85 of Newtonville passed away Wednesday in Inspiria Medical Center in Vineland. Born and raised in Philadelphia he moved to Newtonville 50 years ago. He was a retired shipping foreman for Richardson/Vicks in Hatboro, PA. Mr. Mobley was a member of the Georgia Pine Society, the Doric Masonic Lodge #25 in Mizpah, the Oziel Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Rosebud Chapter No. 47 in Mizpah, where he served as Worthy Patron before transferring to Atlantic Chapter No. 3 in Atlantic City. He was a lifetime member of the Rosebud and Atlantic Chapters. Mr. Mobley was a faithful Eagles fan, a member of the Seniors of Newtonville and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Hammonton. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maryland (Dunston) Mobley; his two children, Melvin F. Mobley Jr. of San Antonio, TX; Michelle E. Mobley of Newtonville; his three granddaughters, Meredith L. Mobley, Meressa A. Mobley; Maryanne M. Mobley all of San Antonio and his sister, Pauline Johnson and her husband Tom of Philadelphia, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11:00am in the First United Methodist Church, 398 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, Newtonville. A Viewing will be held, Tuesday, 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. A second viewing will be held Wednesday 10:00am - 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church.
