Obituary of George F. Crowder

George Frank Crowder (Duke) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Kearsley Nursing and Rehab in Philadelphia. He was born to Dorthea Crowder in Hammonton, NJ 76 years ago. He went to Hammonton High School and joined the Navy after graduation where he served on the USS Saratoga. After serving his country he became a police officer at Cheney State College in Pennsylvania where he worked for many years. George was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorthea Crowder, sister Fanny Crowder, his daughter Elizabeth and his wife Lee Anna Connor. He was married to Gloria Crowder and Lee Anna Connor. He leaves behind loving memories of his children, Glenn D. Crowder, Kenneth Crowder, Stephen Crowder, Sherrell Connor and Tyrell Bowie and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014, 11:00am at the Hammonton First Assembly of God Church, 272 Route 206, Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton.
