Obituary of Fred A. Napoliello

Fred A. Napoliello passed away on Monday May 19, 2014 at Virtua Hospital, Marlton, NJ. He was 82 years of age. Mr. Napoliello was predeceased by his elder siblings: Charles (Jeanette), Daniel, Isadore (Edna), Felix (Rose), Joseph (Angela), Caesare (Theresa), Thomasina (Frank), Mary (Joseph), Esther, and Mildred. He has a surviving older brother, Steven M. Napoliello of Cinnaminson, NJ and 110 nephews and nieces spread around the country. Fred was born and reared in Cedar Brook, Winslow Township, NJ. He graduated from Hammonton grade schools and Lower Camden County Regional High School. He also graduated from several Air Force technical schools. He was a Korean War Veteran, the sixth brother to volunteer in War time. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and served several years in Germany as an avionics technician. While there he also played baseball, as a pitcher "lefty", on the All Europe Baseball Traveling Team playing intra and inter service competition in many countries. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Bonnie (nee Blakeslee), of Hazelton, Pennsylvania. They spent their retirement years tending to their gardens at their home in Cedar Brook. Fred worked as an electronics Designer for RCA, GE, and retired after 50 years from Lockheed Martin. He was credited with "laying - out" the circuit boards for the Aegis project. He was active in union politics and was President of the technicians and draftsman union. Mr. Napoliello was active in Republican politics in Winslow Township. He played on several baseball teams for his coach brother, Felix, and later assisted coaching for him. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at Christ the Redeemer Parish Church of Sacred Heart, 119 N. Route 73 in Cedar Brook, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Winslow EMS, P.O. Box 3, Cedar Brook, NJ 08018.
