Obituary of Irma Santiago

Irma Santiago, 82, of Hammonton passed away at her home on May 15, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico she was a resident of Hammonton since 1968. She worked at Anna Bertino's Dress Company and UBIA Sportswear both in Hammonton. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was predeceased by her husband Anastacio Santiago. She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Cruz of Hammonton, Carmen Iris Tavarez (Luis) of Hammonton, Mirna Geary ( Mark) of Sweetwater and Brunilda Spencer (Raymond) of Mays Landing; six grandchildren, Melinda Matos (Jose), Luis A. Tavarez Jr. (Michelle),Eric Tavarez (Sheila), Jason Geary, Melissa Cortez, and Emily Cortez; nine great grandchildren, Krystina, Vanessa, Antonio and J.J. Matos, Lillian Tavarez, Jacob Geary, Eric Jr., Emma and Elena Tavarez, and two brothers, Ramon Salas and Pablo Salas. A viewing will be held on Monday,May 19, 2014 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 after 9:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.
