Obituary of Dorothy LaRosa

Dorothy LaRosa (nee Caputo) , 93, of Hammonton passed away on April 28, 2014 at Seashore Gardens Living Center in Galloway Township. Dorothy was born and raised in Blue Anchor, after marrying her husband Frank they lived in Penns Grove for many years, and then they returned to live in Hammonton fifteen years ago. She was a member of the Citizens League in Penns Grove, the St. James P.T.A. and the Mother's Club both in Carneys Point. Dorothy enjoyed playing the slot machines in Atlantic City, cooking for family especially Sunday and Holiday dinners. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and she never missed their activities or sporting events. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank A. LaRosa Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Leonetti (Sam), one son, Frank LaRosa (Lisa) all of Hammonton; three grandchildren, Lynette Massaro (Mark) of Mullica Township, Joe Martell (Lauren) of Carneys Point, and Francesca LaRosa of Hammonton; and three great grandchildren, Marlee and Marissa Massaro and Bianca Rose Martell. A viewing will be held Friday May 2, 2014 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:30 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations to Seashore Gardens Foundation, 22 W. Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway Township, NJ 08205 would be greatly appreciated.
