Obituary of Nola Combs

Nola Combs, (nee Robbins) 87, of Hammonton passed away peacefully Monday with her son at her side at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Born in Tennessee she lived in Hammonton for many years. She was a retired trimmer for Kessler Clothing Shop in Hammonton. She belonged to the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. Mrs. Combs was a longtime Volunteer at Kessler Memorial Hospital where she was a member of the Sew-Sew Club. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends. Mrs. Combs was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Phillies. But her favorite sporting events were watching her grandchildren. She especially loved watching her granddaughter play softball. She was predeceased by her husband Colburn Combs, Sr. Mrs. Combs is survived by her son Colburn Combs Jr. and his wife Karen , her grandchildren, Colburn Combs and Jessica Combs all of Hammonton. She is also survived by her two sisters, Helen Bannister and Mayme Seaver and her brother, Luther Robbins all of Indiana. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, 10:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held from 9:00am until 10:30am at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to the Rosedale Baptist Church, 115 E. 15th St., Rosedale, NJ 08037.
