Obituary of Charles W. Dewees

Charles W. Dewees, 79, of Hammonton passed away on Tuesday in Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Born in Bronx, NY he lived in Hammonton for 57 years. He was a quality control manager for RCA in Moorestown, NJ now known as Lockheed Martin Corp. He was a United State Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Dewees is predeceased by his brothers, Frank Dewees; Theodore Dewees and his sisters, Ethel Gaunt and Dorothy LoSasso. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dewees (nee Barresi); his three daughters, whom he referred to as "Charlies Angels," Charlene Vail of Roanoke, VA, Lynn Melino and her husband Greg of Mt. Laurel, Joanne Pagano and her husband Ben of Berlin; one brother, Robert Dewees, two sisters, Amelia Klingenberg and Betty Tomasello and his seven grandchildren, Nicole, Ben, Rebecca, Alexandra, Andrew, Stephen and Lauren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:30am in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, Church of St. Anthony of Padua 285 Route 206 in Hammonton. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday 9:00am to 11:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
