Obituary of John J. Blazer

John J. Blazer, Sr. 74 of Folsom passed away Thursday in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Born in Folsom he was a lifelong resident there. John loved to roam the woods looking for deer with his buddy Mike Viteo or just spending time riding around. He also loved spending time in his West Virginia home, hunting especially with his son and grandsons when they visited. John also enjoyed gardening and growing all sorts of things, he always had something growing in his garden. John was a mechanic for local modified race cars and also on Nascar modified. He often traveled to different race tracks working on these cars. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #825, while working at for Statewide Hi-Way Safety for many years. John belonged to the Folsom Hunting and Fishing Club, and the "Hit and Miss Gun Club" winning the "Big Buck 4 Pointer Contest" in 2003. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Evelyn Blazer, his sister, Dolores Blazer, his first wife Darlien Super and his granddaughter, Gabrielle Campione. John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda Blazer (nee Wescoat), his son John Blazer, Jr (Loretta) of Folsom, his step-children, Tammy Rodio (Hank), Marty Schellhas (Jennifer); Dawn Campione (Allen) all of Hammonton; his grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Justin and Sean Blazer; Laurie, Michelle(Derek Pizzo), Kaitlin, Amy and Lindsey Rodio, Melonie Schellhas, Christina Cowick; Allen Campione, Jr., and his "roaming buddy" Mike Viteo. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Viewings will be held Monday 7:00pm - 9:pm and again on Tuesday 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home.
