Obituary of Lois Parkkonen

Lois Parkkonen (nee Valentino) of Hammonton went into heaven on Saturday May 25, 2013. She was born in Hammonton to the late Pasqua "Esther" Valentino and Ignatz "Nazy" Valentino. Lois graduated from Hammonton High School in 1967 and worked for Bell Atlantic 25 years where she retired from. Lois was a wonderful person who made the world smile. She was a selflessly dedicated mother and grandmother "ma." She loved to sing, help people and was just a free spirit who loved life. She is sadly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Tara Russo and Jennifer Parkkonen; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Ancheta, Kira Howard, and Joseph Russo, brother Joseph Valentino. Lois was predeceased by her brother David Valentino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, N. Third St., Hammonton. Friends and relatives may call Thursday 9:00am -10:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
