Joseph L. Lombardo, 82 of Waterford Works died Thursday at home. Born in Waterford Works he was a lifelong resident there. Mr. Lombardo was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 25 th Infantry which was a known as the Wolf Hounds. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 186 in Hammonton He was the owner of G.I. Joe Septic Service in Waterford Works. He enjoyed making wine, going to watch horse racing, and he formerly owned race horses. He is survived by his wife, Angie Lombardo (nee Cardone) three daughters, Susan Salvatore, Sandy Piccari and her husband, Dave all of Hammonton, JoAnn LaSassa of Waterford, two sons, Joseph T. Lombardo of Waterford, Ronald J. Lombardo and his wife, Kim of Cedar Brook, two brothers, Frank Lombardo of Berlin and James Lombardo of Atco, three sisters, Frances Adams of Florida, Janice Russell of Delaware and Mary Ann Pasquarello of Stratford, eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Davey, Stevie, Joey, Vinny, Dominic and Dominique and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Monday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 8;00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the A.L.S. Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
