Obituary of Andrew Amatrudo

Andrew Amatrudo, 104 of Mays Landing passed away Sunday in Mainland Manor. Born in Philadelphia he was a South Jersey resident for many years. He was a hairdresser at Gimbels in Philadelphia. Mr. Amatrudo was a saxophone player and a member of several local bands. He was considered a "Celebrity" in the Trump Taj Mahal Poker Room, where they would celebrate his birthday every year. He is survived by his daughter, Lottie DeMarzio of Mays Landing; two brothers, Raymond Amatrudo of Pennsauken, Frank Amatrudo of Deptford; two sisters, Rita DiBruno; Ann DelBorello both of S. Philadelphia, three grandchildren, Lora Mattia, Donna Gibbs, Joseph Travia, 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's where a viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
