Obituary of Mercedes Thornewell

Mercedes Thornewell, 82, of Hammonton passed away Saturday in Virtua-West Jersey Hospital Marlton Division. Born in Manhattan, NY she lived in Hammonton for many years. Mrs. Thornewell was a retired machine operator for Kim Michaels of Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She was predeceased by her husband, Adam Thornewell and her mother, Mary Navarro. Mrs. Thornewell is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert and Danielle Thornewell and her two grandchildren, Alexis and Adam Thornewell all of Hammonton. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 10:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
