Obituary of Joseph W. Raso

Joseph W. Raso, 91, of Blue Anchor passed away Monday in Genesis Eldercare Center in Voorhees. Born in Blue Anchor he was a lifelong resident there. He worked at Tomasello's Winery in Hammonton for over 50 years. He was a member of the Winslow Vol. Fire Co. for over 40 years where he served as their Trustee. Mr. Raso was a United State Army Veteran who served during World War II. He was a member of the Berlin VFW, the NJ Farm Bureau, and the Single Fifties Club in Berlin. Mr. Raso is survived by his son David Raso of Deptford, his niece Mary Krafcigs and her husband Steve of Hammonton and his granddaughter, Antoinette Raso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00am in Christ the Redeemer Parish Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive Atco. A viewing will be held at the Church from 8:30am until 10:00am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cedar Brook.
