Obituary of Estelle Gazzara

Estelle Gazzara,(nee Merlino) 88, of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Saturday at the Fountains at Cedar Parke in Atco. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there. Mrs. Gazzara formerly worked as a secretary for National Garment Co. of Hammonton. She also worked for many years at Kessler Memorial Hospital in the medical records department. She was a member of the Woman's Auxillary of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association Chapter 3 in Somerdale, and she was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church Rosary and Altar Society. Mrs. Gazzara loved baking and gardening but most especially she loved taking care of others. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Merlino, her husband Charles P. Gazzara, her son David Gazzara and her brothers Benjamin and Samuel J. Merlino. Mrs. Gazzara is survived by her three sons, Gene and his wife Sarah of Georgia, Pat and his wife Nancy of Mullica Township and Thomas of Hammonton; one sister Paulina Sidone of Elm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 12:00pm in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish Chuch of St. Anthony of Padua, Route 206, Hammonton, where a viewing will be held 10:30am until 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Arrangements are by the Carnesale Funeral Home, Hammonton.
