Obituary of Joseph C. Byrnes
Joseph C. Byrnes, 91 of Buena passed away on Wednesday at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Hastings, PA he was a South Jersey resident for fifty seven years. Mr. Byrnes was an U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 158. Before retiring he worked as a laboratory technician for Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Byrnes (nee Arena), four sons, Thomas Byrnes and his wife Joyce of Ventnor, Timothy Byrnes of Stratford, Gregory Byrnes and his wife Betty of Mullica Township, and Richard Byrnes and his wife Terry of Mays Landing, six grandchildren, Patrick Byrnes and his wife Natalie, Michael Byrnes , Michelle Byrnes, Alan Byrnes, Erin Byrnes and Kirstie Byrnes, one great grandchild, Brooklynn Byrnes, three brothers, Robert Byrnes, John Byrnes and Patrick Byrnes, two sisters, Elaine Byrnes and Carmine Lieb. A viewing will be held Tuesday June 12, 2012 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of donors choice. Arrangements by the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
