Obituary of Frank A. Barresi
Frank A. Barresi, 83 passed away peacefully on Wed. May 23 surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness. Born in Hammonton NJ., Frank served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and he is a member of the American Legion Post 186. He started working for the Jersey Central Railroad in 1951 and later retired in 1990 from Conrail. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn (Santora) Barresi, daughter Karen Barresi- Henry (Mike), brother Anthony "Whitey" Barresi , sisters Mildred Barresi and Nancy (Barresi) Dewees (Charles) all of Hammonton, adopted daughter Denise Plavchak, grandchildren Melissa, special buddy Eric and Craig Plavchak, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, Third & French Streets, Hammonton. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday 8:30am until 10:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
