This photo was taken at her 80 something consecutive 16th of July Procession. She loved her church and her traditions. There is so much to say about Aunt Rita, but the most important are her dedication to family, joy, and her faith. Love always ❤️

You were Aunt Rita to all and a friend like family to us!!! No holiday will go by without us thinking about all the delicious cakes and pies you always made for us- especially the family favorite Lady Finger Pineapple. We will miss your smile and kindness! Hope you are catching up with your brother Sal who we know you missed terribly. Condolences to your family and friends.

Sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. Her picture is exactly as I remember her. Always with a smile. Condolences to the family. (My mother, Virginia Scoleri, was Catherine Silipino’s sister).

The moment I met Rita and her closest friend...also named Rita . The would answer me in unison. So they needed nicknames. Red And White Rita like the red and white queens. Others from the community center called them The Margaritas. Rita was always smiling. She would come to 10:30 mass at SAC. If I felt nervous all I had to do was look out and see her nod and smile. After communion she would stop and take my hand as if to say "good job" . She loved bingo and I actually got her to decorate a pumpkin when I was told it was impossible. We made popcork hands and bats..and was always smiling.I am so grateful to have met Rita and will miss her smiling at me when I lector. She said I was an angel...she is an Angel looking down from Heaven with a smile and a nod. Love you my Red Rita.
