Obituary of Georgette O'Mara

Georgette O'Mara (nee Nothe), 86. Of Waterford Works passed away peacefully at home, just 16 days after her husband of 64 years, James E. O'Mara. Born in Pine Hill, NJ, she lived in Waterford Works for 47 years. Georgette worked for Eckerd's Pharmacy in Hammonton as a cashier. She loved going to the casino and playing slot machines. She enjoyed bowling and watching the Phillies and Eagles games with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, they meant the world to her, and she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. Besides being predeceased by her husband James, she was also predeceased by her sister Anna Carlsen and her husband William.

Georgette is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Christon, Cathy Reilly and her husband Mike, her adoring grandchildren, Amanda Christon (Julian), Morgan Reilly, Hailey Christon, Scott Reilly (Dominique) and her great granddaughter, Viviana. She is also survived by her sisters in law, Dolores McPoyle and Peggy O'Mara; her cousin, Wayne Nothe; her grand puppies, Bella and Minnieboo and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ, where a Life Celebration will begin at 1:30 PM.
