Gilberto Pastor-Hernandez, 58, of Hammonton tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Friday, October 25, 2024, in Hammonton, NJ. He was born in Guatemala and came to the United States to work as a farm laborer to provide for those back home.
For the past two years, First United Methodist Church in Hammonton cared for Gilberto Pastor-Hernandez, lovingly known as "Luis." We provided him with food, clothing, shelter when possible, and access to medical care.
Luis faced many challenges but was above all a human being deserving dignity in death. He will be miss by his Church family here at First United Methodist Church. No next of kin could be located so we are raising funds to give him a proper burial. Your support, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated and will help to honor his memory with love and respect. Donations can be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 398 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton, NJ. Thank you for standing with us in this act of compassion.
Graveside Services will be held, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 1:45 PM in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton, NJ.
