James H. (Jim) Norcross, Jr., 42, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on July 11, 2024, at home.
Jim was best known for riding quads, rebuilding trucks, and his love for his dog Ellie May. He was adventurous, fun-loving, and his music often reflected his current mood. He played bass in his own band that performed at a Battle of the Bands at Hammonton High School, where he was a member of the Class of 2000. His infectious laugh and raspy voice were his trademarks, especially if he arrived to give friends a tow out of the woods. As a child, he was active in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and other outdoor activities.
Jim is survived by his parents, James Sr. and Carolann Norcross, older sister, Melissa Norcross, his twin sister, Heather Norcross, and niece, Amber Nelke. Jim also will be missed by his aunt, Jackie Clark, his good friend, Donna Campanella, as well as many cousins and close friends.
A Visitation will be held at Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 am – noon, where funeral services will be held at noon. Burial to follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Oasis Animal Sanctuary in Jim's name at 698 Central Avenue, Franklinville, NJ 08322 or at www.oasisanimalsanctuary.org.
