John C. Tomasello, 92, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, June, 1, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. John served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his dog Gizzy. He retired after 32 years from Airwork in Millville where he had worked as an airplane mechanic.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Della (nee Cascarino) Tomasello and his sister, Adeline Garrison and her husband, James. He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Kay Tomasello (nee Kolb), three sons John Tomasello and his wife, Evelyn, Chuck Tomasello, and Bill Tomasello and his wife, Cindy and one granddaughter, Christina Tomasello, also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1066, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
