Obituary of Betty M. Scottino

Betty M. Scottino, 96 of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Born in Philadelpia, PA she lived for seventy years in the Hammonton area. She worked at National Garment for over twenty years. She was the Commander of the DAV Chapter 66 in Hammonton for two years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos, playing dominoes, crocheting, and reading. She especially loved her family. She also enjoyed cooking for family especially crabs in her Stone Harbor home. She was a snowbird who went to spend a couple of months every year in Florida with her daughter Carol.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty years, Angelo Scottino, her parents, Catherine and Paul Piccolo, her sister, Christine Guiliano, her brother, James Piccolo and her devoted companion, Donald Perna.
She will be truly missed by her daughters, Betty Bober (Ed), and Carol Amedio (Joe), her grandchildren, Eddie Bober (Tracy), Dawn Scola (Gary), Natalie Caprio (Chris), and Joey Amedio, her great grandchildren, Eddie George Bober, Dominique Bober, Gary Scola, Sierra Scola, Dalton Scola, Christopher Caprio, Carly Caprio, Joey Amedio and Isabella Amedio, and her extended family Debbie and Steve DiDonato and family, Donna and Charlie Patton and family, many nieces and nephews, special friend, Josie Barr, and also Angel and Draco pets of family.
A viewing will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 500 N. White Horse Pike in Hammonton. In lie of flowers donations may be made to Angelic Hospice, 8025 Black Horse Pike, West Atlantic City, NJ 08232 or at: donations.angelic.health, the DAV Hammonton Chapter 66 at 446 S. Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
