Obituary of Marion C. Oliva

Marion C. Oliva (nee Merlino), 92 passed away at home in Boynton Beach, FL on Monday, April 29, 2024. Born in Providence, Rhode Island she lived in Hammonton for many years before moving to Florida in 1980. Marion graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Society. Before retiring Marion worked as Director of Nursing Education at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. While living in Hammonton she was an active member of St. Martin DePorres R.C. Church. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Leon J. Oliva and her son in law, Enrico "Ricky" Tomasello. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Oliva (Earsel), and her daughter, Lee Anne Tomasello, two grandchildren, Michael Oliva (Christy) and Jennifer Tomasello, and her former daughter in law, Jean Calzone. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society at: nationalmssociety.org.
