Felipe A. Hernandez, 79, of Wharton Park in Mullica Township died on Friday, April 26, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico he has lived in the Hammonton and Mullica Township area since 1964. Before retiring he worked at Post Marine Company. He enjoyed baseball, horse racing and ran track in his younger years.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Evie Hernandez - Burgos. He is survived by wife Edith Hernandez (Figueroa), two children, Phillip Hernandez (Carlos Galarza), Zeina Hernandez (Nick Caracostantakis) five grandchildren, David, Tianna, Ivelies, Inessa and Ilexcia, seven great grandchildren, Thaliya, Malaya, Jaivon, Kenzley, Viana Lee, Zaevion and Elias.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 11:15 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where eulogy will be held at 11:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
