Obituary of Aracelio Tavarez

Aracelio Tavarez, 93 of Hammonton passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Hammonton since 1968. Before retiring he worked for many years at Tomasello Winery in Hammonton. Aracelio was a devout Catholic, and a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, the Holy Name Society, and was active in the Cursillo Movement. He was predeceased by his wife, Maximina Perez, his daughters, Carmen Tavarez - Florentino, Rosa Taverez Nieves, his son in law, Jesse Torres. He is survived by three sons, Luis Tavarez (Carmen), Miguel Tavarez (Zaida), Victor Tavarez, and one daughter, Blanca Torres, one brother, Encarnacion Tavarez, one sister, Generosa Torres and grandchildren, Luis Jr., and Eric Tavarez, Jessica, Jesus, and Miguel Torres, Noemi Mazza, Jennifer Tavarez, Victor, Emanuel and Javier Nieves, Katherine Nieves and twenty one great grandchildren A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will begin at 8:15 PM. Burial will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico at Los Jardines Memorial Park.
