Obituary of Lydia Maria Norman

Lydia Maria Norman (nee Mendez), 60, of West Deptford, NJ passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at her residence. Born in Camden she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Lydia formerly worked for Bally's Park Place Casino, Tumbling Dice and owned and operated a Medical Transportation Co. She belongs to the Lady Orchids of New Jersey. She loved traveling to Jamaica, but her greatest love was her family. She would do anything for them. Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Hector Luiz Mendez, Alfreda Mendez and Grampy; her son, Deor Pope; her siblings, Patricia Borum, Olga Mendez and Johnny Mendez. She is survived by her loving sons,Julian Pope, Logan Nero, William Anrie Norman,and Ari Daughtry, her two sisters, Milagros Rodriquez, and Angela Azcona; her brother, Hector Luiz Mendez, Jr.; her grandchild, Julian-Michael Pope. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Michele, Lynette, Andre, Blanca, Christopher, Christina, Sebastian Luiz, Esamuel, Alexander, Marjahni and Gabriel, her former spouses, Herbert Pope and William Norman and a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, 11:00 am in Solid Rock Baptist Church, 420 S. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
