Obituary of Concetta Tieri

Concetta Tieri, (nee Muscolino) 84 of Folsom, NJ and formerly of Hammonton, NJ passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital at Cherry Hill. Beloved wife of the late Adolfo Tieri. She was the devoted mother of Lorenzo Tieri, Ettore Tieri (Stephanie), and Adolfo John Tieri; adoring grandmother of Adolfo John Tieri, II, Antonio Tieri, Loren Tieri, Mario Tieri and great-grandmother of Adolfo John Tieri, III. Concetta is also survived by her sister Giovanna Costanza and Aunt to Vincenzo and Lorenzo Costanza. She was born in Messina, Italy and worked for Bally's and Showboat Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ. Concetta was a brave and courageous woman coming to America from Italy and starting a family in Hammonton, NJ. She was devoted to her family and to her Catholic Faith. She enjoyed spending time near the Atlantic Ocean and was always ready to try a new restaurant and visit a new place. She graduated and received a diploma in Fashion Design in Messina, Italy and loved making clothes for herself, family and friends. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to make her Easter ricotta ham pie and bread baskets at Easter time. Her braciole and other Italian specialties will be greatly missed. She loved assembling her Christmas Village at Christmas time and looked forward to decorating for the Holidays. A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will be held at 11;30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
