George Louis Reyes, 76, of Mullica Township, NJ passed away on Friday Nov. 3, 2023, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway. Born in Salinas, PR he lived in this area for many years. George served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He retired from Ocean Yachts where he molded fiberglass.
George was predeceased by his parents Ramon and Andrea Reyes, his sisters, Carmen Santiago, Sicilia Herrera, Luz Minerva Rodriguez and Susana Rosado. He is survived by his wife, Melitina Reyes, (nee Santiago), his son, George Louis Reyes, Jr., his sisters, Iraida Melendez (Mateo); Maria Teresa Reyes (Alejandro),his brother, Raymond Reyes (Ramona), his brother-in-law, Miguel Rodriguez; two grandchildren, George Louis Reyes, III; Sy'Nesha Marie Reyes and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
