Obituary of Eleanor C. Huegel

Eleanor "Kitty" C Huegel (nee Gazzara), 91, of Brigantine passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Kitty was born and raised in Hammonton and has lived in Brigantine since 1969. Before retiring she had worked as a booth cashier at Trump Castle Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Helen Gazzara, her brother, Leon A. Gazzara, and her sisters, Sadie M. Tomasello, Carmella F. Nugent and Marie Perna. She is survived by her brother, Vincent J. Gazzara (Janis). The family is very thankful for Kitty's longtime neighbors and friends who were very kind to her. Kitty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 331 8th Street, Brigantine, NJ, where a viewing will be held after 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
