Roy E. Stillwell, 96, of Hammonton passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ. Born in Milwaukee, WI he lived in Hammonton for 70 years. Roy worked for the Laborers Union Local 172 in Folsom. After his retirement from the union he worked at Caesars Hotel & Casino as a change person. He was an United States Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Roy was a member of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post No. 186 in Hammonton.
Roy was predeceased by his wife Concetta (nee DeMarco) Stillwell. He is survived by his sister, Cecelia Kern; one brother, Sonny Stillwell; one sister in law, Rosetta DeMarco and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 8, 2023, 11:00 AM in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral HOme, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
