Obituary of Nancy M. Dewees

Nancy M. Dewees, (nee Barresi) 86, of Hammonton passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 with loved ones by her side. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident. She formerly worked for Suburban Propane. Nancy was a longtime member of St. Martin de Porres Altar Rosary Society, and she was also a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She enjoyed doing puzzles, sewing, spending time with family and friends, especially time spent with her grandchildren and watching them participate in various sports and activities. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, John and Minnie Barresi; her husband Charles W. Dewees, her sister Mildred Barresi and her brother, Frank Barresi. She is survived by her three daughters, Charlene Vail of Roanoke, VA; Lynn Melino and her husband Greg of Delanco; Joanne Pagano and her husband Ben of Berlin, her brother, Anthony "Whitey" Barresi of Hammonton; her 7 grandchildren, Nicole and Ben Pagano, Rebecca, Alexandra and Andrew Vail; Stephen Melino and Lauren (Melino) Esimio and her husband Cristofer; one great grandchild, Luca James Esimio and her sister in law Betty (Dewees) Tomasello. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 26, 2023, 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter 399 Market St., Suite 250 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
